string(118) and modifying suites for the rockerss that can chop down a specific aggregate of cars on the course joined to that edifice. The undermentioned paper talks about the impact of developments on nature and stairss that are being brought to chop down their C footmark all through the universe. Structures contribute fundamentally to the contamination of this planet. Be that as it may, while they contribute a clump to contamination, they other than can chop down that entirety of contamination and waste with the help of making a viewpoint of maintainability all through their industry. We will compose a custom article test on Leed Certification And Sustainable Buildings Environmental Sciences Essay or on the other hand any comparative point just for you Request Now Each stage in the existence musicality of a structure can play their part from plan and working to activity. The LEED endeavor is one such way to get down the advancement in the attitude of developers and inside decorators. While the LEED venture has gotten rather fruitful, numerous manufacturers will in general stay off from it because of the way that to determine LEED liberation, the expense of the structure is raised. While the underlying expense is higher, the drawn out retirement funds is critical lastly makes it advantageous. Things from open help enterprise costs are lower alongside income upgrade retirement funds from the specialists. Indeed, even possessions esteem has been demonstrated to be raised with LEED emancipation. While the idea of long haul retirement funds is essential to gain more manufacturers to see maintainability more, this adjustment must go an enduring 1 that makes ecologically neighborly structures the standard rather than a sort of side show. This methodology will be slow, however with advisory groups, for example, LEED and others around the universe, the building business is making their segment to help chop down contamination and waste. LEED Certification and Sustainable Buildings Ecological cognizance is going ever progressively exceptional in today ‘s society. Regardless of whether it is in effect increasingly worried about vehicle radiations and their detail mis per gallon measurements, or buying privately created supplements, â€Å" Traveling Green † is everyplace we look whether we like it or non. These delineations of using building or stuff array techniques for automobiles and food advertise shop stocks are the most well-known methods of society ‘s exertion to chop down their C footmark on the planet. In any case, there is a division of society and worry for that undertaking which is far less detectably attempting to do this measure into the realm of maintainability. This segment I am talking about is the business of planing, building, and activity of structures. Structures in the United States speak to 39 for each centum of the state ‘s essential vitality utilization, history for 38 for each centum of all C dioxide spreads, speak to 72 for every centum of the state ‘s ingestion, they utilize 14 for every centum of all drinkable H2O, and internationally, buildings utilize 40 for every centum of characteristic stuffs. ( Yudelson ) When one pauses for a moment to perceive how much vitality and stuff it takes to develop anything, from the exhaust of Cranes and dozers, to the power expended in a finished high rise, these Numberss are non such astonishing. Furthermore, presently cognizing these Numberss, one can think about the effect on the C footmark of the United States, if something was done to reduce them. Luckily, endeavors are being made to do the structure business all the more earth cordial, with so much undertakings as the LEED assessment framework for developments of different types. LEED is an abbreviation for â€Å" Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. † Its aim is to isolate structures that have gone supra and past in their endeavors to make a fundamentally more ecologically neighborly building than typical. â€Å" LEED gathers and fuses a wide combination of ‘best designs ‘ across numerous subjects including engineering, innovation, inside plan, scene design, and building. â€Å" ( Yudelson ) This quote from Yudelson ‘s book, totally sums up what members in a structure undertaking are included to make a LEED building. A LEED structure is non simply a building that keeps the noticeable radiations off additional, however rather a product of the coaction of everybody required, from moving steel from a closer attempts to limit travel contamination, to making an obviously lit up condition requiring less artificial lighting, to even innovation and planing more vitality effective cooling and warming frameworks. There are four potential LEED scores a structure can have, â€Å" Certified † , â€Å" Silver † , â€Å" Gold † , and â€Å" Platinum † . Affirmed being gotten by run intoing the fundamental requests, and Platinum being remunerated to the endeavors that meet the most noteworthy evaluation of requests. The four achievement degrees are the undermentioned: Ensured: Greater than 40 for each centum of the whole potential focuses. Silver: Greater than 50 for each centum of the whole potential focuses. Gold: Greater than 60 for each centum of the whole potential focuses. Platinum: Greater than 80 of the whole potential focuses. The undermentioned chart by Yudelson, shows a for each centum separation of the five boss classs considered by a LEED official and how enormous of a capacity every dramatization. As should be obvious, the five boss classs considered are, indoor ecological quality, economical locales, H2O effectiveness, vitality and air, and stuffs and assets. From each of these classs, contingent upon what number of focuses scored, the LEED advisory group will respect the structure with a Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum seal of gift. This diagram is explicitly for â€Å" New-Construction † endeavors, all things considered, more than 70 for every centum of LEED liberations are newly built endeavors and consequently will be the makings to a great extent examined in this paper. The adherents is a picture from Yudelson of the LEED scorecard for the Oregon Health and Science University ‘s Center for Health and Healing which got a Platinum assessment. As showed, focuses are granted for achievements under every one of the five significant classs, alongside an additional class of Innovation and Design. For the class of â€Å" Sustainable Sites † the point of convergence is on ordering everything from exchange travel course to light contamination decline, to stormwater bearing. Indeed, even the site decision is of import. The feature that hops off the page here is the other travel strategies. On the off chance that the structure plan crew can make an evironment that energizes, bicycling to work with tonss of cruiser racks and modifying suites for the rockerss that can chop down a specific entirety of cars on the course appended to that building. You read Leed Certification And Sustainable Buildings Environmental Sciences Essay in classification Article models Besides by planing for mentor, metro, and train terminuss, in or close by the structure, more individuals populating or working in the structure might be bound to use these substitute techniques for travel and cut bringing down the figure of cars on the course. The idea here, is that since exchange fuel vehicles have non taken off in the public eye, the boss or most effortless way to chop down harmful vehicle spreads is to chop down the figure of vehicles on the course by advancing the use of mass open travel frameworks like metros, coachs and trains. Structures play a huge capacity in this by providing the terminuss and Stationss convieniently to the masses. Alongside the issue of travel, the site class other than contains the subjects of stormwater mediation, heat islands, and light contamination. By pull offing the stormwater uprooted by the footmark of a structure, an owner can determine two quick focuses toward LEED emancipation. Regardless of whether it is a building up a way to tolerably deal with and perchance reuse stormwater inside the structure, or by limiting the entirety of flood made, there are numerous ways a structure can be intended to thwart debased stormwater from making streams or seas. Structures are other than solid warmth generators which can be hurtful to the earth. By cut bringing down the radiation of warmth, another two quick focuses are accessible. What's more, inevitably, the issue of light contamination is a genuine activity in huge metropoliss, affecting the invigorate creatures in the nation, explicitly winged animals. Structures do non require to go forward their obvious radiations on all dim, it is a misu se of vitality each piece great as hurtful to winged creatures which are influenced by non cognizing the distinction among dim and twenty-four hours in the metropoliss. Signal locators are one potential arrangement, yet by and by this is cured, a LEED point is available to anyone here each piece great. Site Sustainability is the second biggest class and demonstrates that if manufacturers take the clasp to utilize a portion of these variables into their development, they can hold a thunderous effect on the earth around them. The second class is â€Å" Water Efficiency † . This is the littlest class each piece far as point handiness goes with only five accessible, however is genuinely is a simple five focuses and ought to be done regardless of a LEED certifaction end or non. There are three boss sub classs: Water productive scene cultivating, propelled gushing engineerings, and H2O utilization redution. Regardless of whether it is actualizing a planned sprinkler framework, or using arranging that does n’t require H2O, for example, squashed stone, there are approaches to altogether chop down the total of water system required for the scene around a development. Water utilization redution begins in the restrooms, with increasingly effective nozzles and latrines. While they are increasingly costly up forepart they are well on the way to rescue the owner cash in the long count. All that is required for two focuses under the H2O use decline, is a 30 for every centum decreasing which is a cluster in the

Everyone loves freebies and you can give your readers some interesting stuff to look forward to. And they will help you spread the word about your blog, willingly. This, my friend, is Marketing 101. Visit And Leave Comments On Other Blogs Just like we would visit our friends home, you should take some time out to visit your readers blogs as well as other blogs. This action would make them feel good about their blogs. Not only will you be keeping in touch with your readers, you may also learn a few things or so from these blogs. Having said that, it is sometimes difficult to visit all your readers blogs if you are a major blogger celebrity with hundreds of readers everyday. Then again, even these high-profile bloggers do pop over to other blogs every now and then. Why shouldnt we? These are just a few of the many ways to stay interactive with your blog readers. Gone were the days where a great article will generate lots of traffic. Today, there are many blogs out there vying for readers attention and time. What differentiate your blog from the rest? Readers are what make (and break) a blog. These days, generating new readers may be easy through search engines but if you want to maintain your blogs popularity, do strive a good relationship with your readers. Without readers, even your best articles would not serve any purpose. And it probably wont be fun for you either!

The Fundamentals of Leadership in the Workplace Essay Example

The Fundamentals of Leadership in the Workplace Essay Example The Fundamentals of Leadership in the Workplace Essay The Fundamentals of Leadership in the Workplace Essay Essay Topic: Nashville The Fundamentals of Leadership in the Workplace For centuries there have been leaders and people have debated what makes a great leader. Leadership goes back to the time of the ancient Greeks. During the 1500’s, there was an Italian statesman Niccolo Machiavelli, who wrote The Prince, which he described methods for leaders to use in acquiring power (Leadership 2003). This all led to the recent activity dating to the early 1900’s and what has been developed and used in today’s society. There are many theories of what a leader should possess and the fact that leaders throughout history have been men who were looked up to as leaders and well respected. This paper discusses the history of leadership, diversity between men and women in leadership and some laws and thoughts of what makes a successful leader well-qualified. Leadership has played an important role throughout history. Whatever we do or wherever we go, there are leaders providing leadership in our lives. History has provided us with some very important leaders who played roles and has defined the term â€Å"leader†. Different types of leaders and different approaches to leadership exist. These approaches view leadership through different perspectives. Leadership is also the process of influencing others towards obtaining and reaching goals. A leadership style refers to the leaders who carry out the roles and responsibilities of the leadership process. There are conferences, motivational speakers as well as mentors of all types that teach leadership all over the world. Just look around and I bet you can think of a handful of leaders just off the top of your head that are people you look up to. We look up to leaders and respect leaders. It also feels good to be a leader and to help others as well. In the article entitled â€Å"Leadership† it talks about the historical background of leadership throughout history; The author points out that leadership has been traced back to the time of the ancient Greeks and even back to an Italian named Niccolo’ Machiavelli, in which he wrote a book called â€Å"The Prince†. In this book Machiavelli states that leaders during that time used acquiring power. The ideas and theories of leadership have been uncovered and introduced to us from thousands of years ago. It is important to learn from the past to make the future more promising. We use the information that was gathered from the past and add to it to make better decisions. To be a better leader one can learn from mentors that have became leaders before. In the article the author states that the theories can be â€Å"divided â€Å"in to two categories. In one of the categories the reasons are based on traits and behaviors, and the second reasons are based from particular situations. An example of the trait and behavior theory is that leaders were not born they were made, and that leaders were â€Å"chosen by God or the Gods. The article states that this theory was viewed by many and some believed that they would never become leaders. For thousands of years leadership has been researched and studied and many questions have been answered and some have not. It has been said that leaders have the ability to imagine new ways to achieve goals and relay them to others (2003). Another issue t hat has been important in leadership is diversity. Most people’s view of a leader throughout history has been that leaders are male rather than female. Why is that? Investigators have found that female leaders tend to involve followers more in the decision making process. Statistics show that male leaders are often chosen over female. Leadership is also viewed differently from one culture to another (2003). Since there are many theories, one could argue that women are better leaders in the workplace. You make the decision. In reality most leaders are male, generally speaking. But, there are some important statistics when it comes to men and women in the workplace as leaders. Here are some statistics to take into consideration: Women are slightly more likely than men to say they are very confident in their ability to keep pace (61% vs. 57%); only 56% of women were very interested in continuing with their careers, vs. 69% of the men; fewer than half of the online professional’s surveyed feel that women receive equal pay for equal work in the industry: 55% of men, vs. 29% of women (Woods 2001). The article entitled Leadership as a Boss in the Workplace gives ideas and tips that may come in to use in the workplace. The author Charles Williams makes good points throughout this article. For example, you have to love what you do in order to teach and guide others and you also must believe in your people and your company to be successful (Williams 2007). I believe that this is true in all aspects of leadership. Unless, you know what you are doing, it is hard to give people something they can take with them and apply later. He states that â€Å"if you have those who are not working as a team then it hurts everyone including the company. † It is important to apply leadership in the workplace and with it you can all join together to get the job done together as a team. When you are working with a group it is all about teamwork (pg 1). John C. Maxwell, the author of the book titled The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership he defines leadership as the ability to obtain followers. It is the ability to influence others to follow you because without followers who are you leading? A common misunderstanding is leading and managing is one in the same. The difference between leading and managing is that managing is focused on maintaining processes and leading is influencing people into a new direction (Maxwell 2002). Having a title does not have value when it comes to being a leader. Leadership is all about respect and discipline. All that a title can do is bide time. A true leader defines oneself opposed to the title defining them. Maxwell’s twenty one laws that he touches on in this book are definitely encouraging as a reader. One of my favorite laws is the law of influence where he talks about how you cannot be a good leader if you are not a good influence. Influence is all about having followers, which goes back to the theory that one cannot be a good leader without followers (2002). Another good one is the law of solid ground. This law is about trust and if trust is broken then you will not be a successful leader. So, if you are not trustworthy then nobody will follow you. Leadership in the workplace can be defined in many different ways, but the most important term in my opinion about a leader is respect. Throughout history, the most memorable leaders are the ones that were well respected or fell from grace. Of course, most leaders would not want to be remembered from falling from grace, but this has occurred and happens in our lives today. The point is that leaders are looked up to and define a standard set forth by companies, organizations, laws and countries. Without leaders, we would be all followers and only destruction would come of it. Clearly, we can imagine in our lives what it would be like if we did not have someone to answer to. Leaders are needed to delegate and motivate responsibility and are considered well respected among their peers. A leader that is not respected is not a very good leader. Nobody will respect an untrustworthy person. Therefore, a leader who is untrustworthy will not have any followers. Just as Maxwell states, what is a leader without any followers. International Human resources Management Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1500 words

International Human resources Management - Essay Example This shift is reflected in the differences in training and development (T&D) practices with respect to 1) the purpose of T&D, 2) the focus of T&D, 3) strategies and methods of training, and 4) training content. MULTINATIONAL STRATEGY. The main purpose of training and development is for managers to develop a cognitive understanding of many possible issues and problems that includes such as cost reduction, sources of relative production efficiency, interpretation of roles, policies and rules and also to maintain the normal situation such as to enhance the efficiency of existing operations (Tichy, 1993). Training is the same as the Human resource function where it serves as a backup support to the main controls such as financial controls and making budgets, organizational design and structure and making of a strategic plan that works. The training and development is concentrated on local and regional efforts (Briscoe, 1995; Dowling, Schuler & Welch, 1994). The scarceness of money is made available for more globally complete, and also very expensive, training costs. The more extensive global training opportunities will be focused on the financial control managers, those auditors and controllers in order to monitor costs and revenue flows in many subsidiaries in manycountries (Lessard, 1997). Strategies and Methods. The multinational firms will concentrate its trainings by providing relatively discrete training investments and actions for individuals or small groups over time periods that are short. The training includes applying low-risk simulation activities to enact behavior changes on such a superficial range, the strategic manager will seek to develop skills relevant to the main cultures of interest (Tichy, 1993).Therefore, multinational trainings and developments are shown with extensive use of case-studies or simulations in environments within the classroom, country handbooks, language training, the company internal counseling on legal and finance subjects. This includes meetings with many repatriated managers and others(Briscoe, 1995; Tichy, 1993). Content. Trainings and developments include marketing, distribution, budgeting, manufacturing, headcount, dominate multinational training curricula, finances, etc., (Tichy, 1993, p.210).Because of the cost containment and rationalization emphasis here, efficiency of operation is at a premium. TRANSNATIONAL STRATEGY. Purpose. The main objectives of the firm are very complex and also very challenging as compared to the multinational firm. The main benchmark is to identify and develop a select group of managers who can define and answer brilliantly major organizational problems and also they must transform significant organizational systems and processes(Tichy, 1993). The transnational mind makes it a requirement to be structural and planning forms of control under the multinational strategy. The managers must be collaborative, multi

History - Essay Example The civil rights movement can be considered to have been created by Martin Luther King Jr. due to his influence. After his death, there was a lack of similar leadership, though the inception of the civil rights movement meant that the minority races could stand for their own rights. This was illustrated by the Asian and Mexican communities who joined hands with the black community to fight for their freedom. Martin Luther King’s message of equality did not change. However, without his influence; there was nobody to carry on his push for equality in the United States. This led to the white community oppressing the minority communities and asserting their dominance. (Lansford 65) The only individual who ever came close to carry on Martin’s message and vision was civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson. His attempt was based on establishing change in the United States, and he wanted to do that from the top, by becoming the president. He attempted to become president i n 1988, as he perceived being president would be the best way of being able to implement the vision embraced and conceptualized by Martin Luther King. A major barrier affected the mentality of minority groups, as there had never been a non-white US president. The Civil Rights movement had grown into an important factor due to the influence of Martin Luther King. ... Therefore, the Civil Rights movement has had a major influence in the development of the United States. Essay 2 Under the presidency of Richard Nixon in the 1960s, there was uproar in the ideologies that Nixon condoned in the American society. The most disputable factor was the abortion movement that resulted in abortion becoming legal in California in the 1960s. Another factor was America becoming part of the war in Vietnam, even when it was not necessary. These two factors created a counter-culture that was a rejection of the factors, represented or condoned by Nixon at the time. Counter-culture was the ideology in which individuals in the United States had developed distaste for the mannerisms and methodologies that Nixon implemented in the 1960s. It was the cause of the backlash at the time (Lansford 135). The domestic policies that Nixon used were deemed unacceptable; the major highlight being the legalization of abortion. In a society that was majority Christians and a good num ber catholic, the legalization of abortion in California was a factor that was simply unacceptable, because abortion is not acceptable in Christianity. Nixon based his decision as a measure of birth control and regulation of the American population. This was deemed unacceptable to the Christian fraternity as they considered it ‘Un-Godly’ for an individual to take the life of another individual. It created a huge uproar and dissatisfaction in the presidency of Nixon, and as a result, they were eager to remove him from office as he had decided to go against the wishes of the majority of the American population. In truth, Nixon needed to consider weighing up the options, the implications of creating and

The Gospel of Matthew Essay Example for Free

The Gospel of Matthew Essay The Gospel of Matthew has long been claimed by theologians as the most Jewish of the four Canonical Gospels (Harris 98). The author of Matthew stresses the role of Jesus Christ as a fulfillment of Jewish prophecy, or as a fulfillment of the Abrahamic covenant. Matthew 4. 1-11 draws upon the main themes of Exodus, presenting Jesus as compared to the Israelites in their journey through the desert. The wilderness can be seen to represent the negative and the positive aspects of human covenant life, as expressed in Exodus as well as in Matthew 4. 1-11. The wilderness can be seen as a place of transformation and trial, as evidenced by the scarcity of food and water, the temptation of idolatry, and the need for a faith that is rooted in deep surrender and trust in God to nourish and protect. The wilderness represents human life. Matthew 4. 1-11 presents itself as a fulfillment of the covenant formed at Mount Sinai in the Book of Exodus, while emphasizing Jesus Christ as the God-man among us, ‘Emmanuel’ (Matt, NRSV, 1. 23). Biblically, the wilderness represents a place of extremes: The risk of death is imminent and very real, and survival depends on choices made and factors that are beyond the control of humankind. Perhaps it was this dual nature of the wilderness: A place to encounter and enter into a trusting relationship with God, but also a place to face the dark side of nature, that led American naturalist John Muir to write, â€Å"In God’s wilderness is the hope of the world† (Muir 86). In the Book of Exodus, the unpredictable, dangerous landscape of the Wilderness leads to a primal fear of death that manifests itself in many of the Israelites losing faith in Yahweh to protect and provide for their tribe: The Israelites doubt that God will provide the water that Moses draws out of the rock, the Israelites fear hunger before God produces Manna to feed the multitudes, and at Sinai, the Israelites engage in idolatry through the worship of the golden calf (Exodus). Through all of these trials, the Israelites falter and doubt the promise of God. Although they are delayed and punished for their shortcomings, the Israelites finally reach the Holy Land (Josh 10. 14). In the Book of Matthew, the Israelites’ time of journey in the desert can be seen to mirror Jesus’ time of trial in the wilderness (as celebrated in Christian liturgy as Lent). Just as the journey to the Promised Land was littered with frightening and dangerous events that eventually led to Joshua conquering Canaan, the time of Lent leads to the ‘Good News:’ The hope of Eternal Life through the Passion of Christ (Josh 10). Where the people of Israel gave into human fear and temptation, Jesus became the ‘perfect human,’ giving his life willingly to God and humanity. However, the Gospel of Matthew emphasizes the humanity of Jesus in the face of Satan’s temptations: Jesus fasts for 40 days and 40 nights, but he feels human hunger, â€Å"He fasted for forty days and forty nights, and afterwards he was famished† (Matt 4. 3). Likewise, Jesus feels human fear and terror in the Garden of Gethsemane, begging the Father to â€Å"Remove my cup of wrath† (Luke 22. 42). Thus, Jesus faces the same temptations as the Israelites in the Book of Exodus when He faces the Devil in the Wilderness, but He demonstrates a perfect faith that is evidenced not by His lack of fear, but rather His complete and perfect obedience. Jesus’ time in the wilderness can be seen as a journey of transformation and covenanting that allows Jesus to emerge renewed and filled with the Holy Spirit. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus enters the wilderness just after His baptism by John the Baptist where the voice of God declares that Jesus is the Messiah (Matt 3). This can also been seen to echo Jewish scripture, where God claims Abraham and Sarah’s son Isaac as his own, the child of the Covenant (Gen 17. 1). The time of trial in the wilderness can be seen as a period of transformation, in which Jesus earns His role as the Savior. In much the way that Jesus bestows power upon Peter following the foot-washing ceremony in the Gospel of John, the Gospel of Matthew provides the story of Jesus in the Wilderness as a time of commissioning. Throughout Matthew 4. 1-11, Jesus refutes the Devil’s temptations through the use of Hebrew Scripture. This highlights Jesus’ role as the Messiah, and claims him as the Davidic King prophesized by Isaiah (Is 26. 1). It is this emphasis on Jesus’ salvific role depending on His obedience, dedication, and hard work that is demonstrated in Matthew 4. 1-11 that leads to His Passion on the Cross. The importance and sacrifice inherent in His death depend on His sacrifice as a gift of free will, which is mirrored in his choice to give His life over to God, in spite of the Devil’s promises. The concept of wilderness is one that is deeply rooted in the Hebrew Scriptures: In fact, both the Abrahamic and Sinai covenanting are presented in the context of voyaging through the unknown. The obedience and faith in God that is emphasized through the Book of Exodus becomes perfectly executed through the life and Passion of Jesus. His experience in the wilderness highlights His perfection and devotion even in the face of His complete humanity, and represents the perfect fulfillment of the Journey to the Promised Land, and humanity’s Covenant promise. The Gospel of Matthew highlights the fact that the period of Lent leads to the promise of Easter, and the advent of a life free of death, in perfect communion with God. marketing case Essays -- essays research papers

Introduction:   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Pfizer Inc. is a research-based diversified health care company with operations around the globe. Pfizer Inc. has three main business groups. They include the Consumer Health Care Group, U.S. Pharmaceuticals Group, and the Pfizer Animal Health Products Segment. For purposes of this case, we will discuss the Animal Health Products Group, where in 1998, accounted for twelve percent of the company’s revenues. Industry Background: The process for making beef begins with the ranchers breeding and raising cattle, in order to sell them to feedlots. The ranchers’ goals are to minimize death of the cattle, to breed low birth weight calves, to produce grade A choice beef, and lastly to produce calves that gain weight quickly. By the time the feedlots purchase the cattle, the more the cattle weights, the better. The next step in the process after the feedlots purchase the cattle is for the feedlots to sell the beef to the meatpackers. There are four main meatpacker companies that account for eighty percent of the entire industry. The meatpackers act as a middleman between the producer and the consumer. Since the majority of this industry is controlled by a few companies, this creates a problem because they act similar to a monopoly. Due to this monopolistic view, there is no free-flow of information throughout the supply chain and beef prices tend to be higher than they should. After the meatpackers have packe d the beef, they sell it to retail stores, which in turn sell the meat to us, the consumer. Industry Trends: There are a variety of trends that directly influence the beef industry. To begin, changes in consumer lifestyles include less time for home-cooked meals and society’s increased pressure for time; thereby, having a big impact on the decline of consumption of beef. In addition, consumers have increased dietary considerations for health and nutritional issues that lead them to consume alternative meat products like pork and poultry. Furthermore, the marketing strategies of the pork and poultry industry have done a better job advertising than the beef industry. Also, the pork and poultry industry have recently produced more ready-to-eat and branded products. Even with all of this new increased pressure on the beef industry by the pork and poultry industries, retail prices for beef have still remained high, yet ano... ...less today than ever before, beef will always exist, therefore, Pfizer products will be needed. An added reason for them to continue with their cattle/calve health products is due to the fact that Pfizer has already invested heavily in this industry and makes over sixty health products for cattle. Additionally, we also recommend that Pfizer maintain their strong market share by continuing to sponsor seminars, publish educational material, offer technical support and organize management programs for the health care of cattle. Conclusion   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  To conclude, the beef industry is currently experiencing a decline in demand, thereby directly affecting products sold to ranchers made by Pfizer’s Animal Health Group. This decline can be attributed to a variety of factors outside of Pfizer’s control, including social, economical and governmental issues regarding beef. Since Pfizer is limited in what they can do to increase beef sales, our proposal is for Pfizer to enter into making health products for poultry, given that this industry seems to be on the rise. However, at the same time, Pfizer should continue to be active in the beef industry to keep them at the top.
